Addon to NOT show pet life bar when you have life bars showing.

Hello all, and thanks for any help...

Is there a mod out there... that can hide the pet life bars above their head? Basically, for pvp'ing really, so I don't have pet life bar popping up when the players show. Would be great in the Arena so I don't have all these life bars popping up. NOT the target bar across the top of screen, but the life bar thats above players and pets heads when you have v or shift v enabled. Want to remove the pet life bar.

I always end up targeting the stupid pets life bar and am wasting damage on it, instead of gutting/melting someones face off. Hah..


If anyone knows of one.. or can tell me how to do it (laymens ways), would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the "Interface" option in your ESC menu. Choose the "Names" subtopic, toggle names (i.e. plates) that you don't want to see.

Ok this is what I am wanting to get rid of .... the pet life bar nameplate..

or whatever.. I want to get rid of THAT .

The nameplates operate on a very simplistic concept - Friendly, Neutral, or Hostile. You MIGHT be able to find an Aloft-like addon that can alter the alpha on player pet nameplates, but I don't know for certain.

even with Aloft it can be problematic.

can't hide individual/specific nameplates during combat (Blizzard considers nameplates "protected"). so, if a pet runs in at you during combat, its nameplate will show, until you exit combat.

Aloft can't turn it transparent, maybe? would still pop up.. just not be a red bar... but see thru?

It may be transparent, but you'd still be able to click it.
