Addon that will replace overhead npc/player names with dots...

...or something we can toggle. The default interface allows us to turn off floating npc names, i want an mod that will allow me to turn off ONLY friendly (green) or (yellow) names, and replace hostile npc names with some sort of smaller red icon... a red dot would do nicely i think.

this is really an attempt to make the gameplay feel more immersive by illiminating the floating names over the heads, while still giving you a visual reference of enemies nearby.

does anything like this already exist?

Not quite dot's over your head, but i think this might be along the lines of what you are looking for.
I've tested it and like it ,takes some gettting used to but the casting bar is genuis and is miles ahead of the standard blizzards plates.

I'm not sure aloft is what the player is looking for... But I'm also on pain meds atm, so I might not be thinking clearly.

I'm pretty much positive that Aloft is not what he's looking for.

Check this one out, might be as close as you're going to get to what you want. A global DOT over EVERY enemy's head I don't think is possible or implemented at least but at least this might give you a little more control.
