Fubar around minimap

I updated with WAU today of course without externals and now the fubar appears to be around the minimap. Anyword of any of these new vesions breaking fubar or maybe Fubar has broken it?

Update it again, ck totally changed FuBar.

Right click on FuBar and there should be a tick box for the minimap icon.

Nope didn't work. Also cartographer seems to have had a major update as it is full screen and the vendors, quests and so on don't show up. Reverted Fubar and Cartographer back to the original from the package and all is fine.

Now I did install Advanced Auctioneer to check it out.....thought that broke Fubar and uninstalled it. Deleted it and the files in the saved variables and still wasn't working after a reupdate with WAU.

Just a heads up.

Yes, I'm having the same problem. Whatever ck did to Fubar... it is completely an undeniably fubar'd (pun intended) at this point in time. I never realized how much I depended on Fubar until I don't have it. This is quite frustrating.

Cartographer, Cowtip, Fubar, Parrot and Pitbull have all been de-ace2'd. ckknight has created his own mod framework called Rock, which all of his addons have been rewritten to use. You may want to reinstall any of those specific addons WITH EXTERNALS for the immediate future, while this transition is sorted out.

Fyi, I use all of the ones I mentioned above, with the exception of Pitbull, and all are working the same as, if not better, than they were prior to this change. They actually seem to be using a bit less memory.

I use Cartographer, CowTip and FuBar and they use more memory now then they did before. Because Cartographer and CowTip didn't work without downloading all the libs and not just have them embedded in the addon like it usally is. Hope that gets fixed soon and we are given a option to not use that annoying Rock GUI everytime you want to change something simple and quick in the addons.

If anything else this is a good reminder of the warning label on WowAce:
These are BETA addons you are updating and you should expect to see cutting edge features which may not be fully functional or bug-free. If this doesn't sound appealing for you, stop reading this page and update your addons through release versions from mod sites instead. Some addons are more beta than others.
I do update daily against files.wowace.com, but I also always keep a snapshot of my previous UI versions. Just for those cases

Wait a bit for the branching between Ace2/3 and Rock to settle down, it should be okay again after that. Or we will have to find something else altogether

I noticed that to so I reverted to an addon I used a while ago called "RicoMiniMap" it is in WAE and is simple to setup. All it basically does is allow you to change the shape of your minimap, the scale, and of course move the minimap to your desired location.

Cool

I'm rather liking this Rock/Ace thing they've got going. the rock UI is a much cleaner way of doing things, the only issue is that the mods are not up to date with the libs, so I had to DL Babble-2.2, Ace2, and all 10 rock libs(probably not all 10 needed but better safe than sorry).

I'm just using them all as Stand Alone Library's, because they are updated before the addon libs are. Since this is a Mazzle issue i'm goona suggest the same thing i do with all the mazzle ui posts

Mazzle mods some of the add ons in order to be compatible and flawless with each other, as well as efficient. It is suggest by the UI that you stick with the download and not update anything due to incompatibility issues that obviously arise with newer versions (Beta in this case).

Just my 2 cents.

Rock mods were put up Sunday night. Anything from early Sunday or last week will be good for you.

Ok, 1, He added new libraries. If you put your WAU on the option that automaticaly adds librarys and update, your golden.

Otherwise just search the WAU for the "Rock" libraries.

Mmmm....Rock. I'd like some confusion with a side of drama please. And can I have the flames on the side? Thanks!
