Yes, I did read the instructions and downloaded and installed the cartographer in the wow/interface/addons file and now I have absolutely no idea what to do with the darn thing. This is an imac running OS X TIger and not a pc. No matter what I do nothing happens to the darn files and I am at a total loss.

Did you unzip the file you downloaded? What are you expecting to happen to the files? Usually you unzip the downloaded file to the addon directory and forget about the files... I take it that cartographer doesn't work for you in-game?
