[Basic] Removing Combo Points

Hello, as 7.0 hit I got some new combo points and I have no clue where they come from. Right above my enemy name plates. I'd like to remove these, as I don't like it. Seems like it's a WoW classic option and I just can't find it.

It is. But the Show Special Resources on Targets option should already be disabled by default

Caveat Emptor: I'm not playing.

Try toggling the option on/off.

Now things get interesting. I don't even have that option.

I read somewhere else that elvui blocks it.

Correct, it's hidden in elvui in anticipation of it simply confusing users.

That cvar is called "nameplateResourceOnTarget", 0 puts it under you, 1 puts it on your target.

/run SetCVar("nameplateShowSelf", 0) or 1 toggles the resource frame on and off.

This seems like a really stupid thing for ElvUI to do. However, I did try running those scripts, but nothing happened. I am having the same problem as imnotdexter.

If this doesn't work for you, you have something changing your setting. Make sure you're out of combat when attempting to modify any nameplate cvars, because they're protected.

If it's a bug with elvui ignoring your cvar settings, it might have an option for it in its own nameplate settings.

It looks like ElvUI does disable that cvar from running. I looked in the ElvUI settings and it looks like it's the Classbar that needs to be disabled. This must have been added in recently, because I tried disabling this setting yesterday and it didn't work.
