Question Creating Compilations Help

Greetings,

I've been getting a few people asking me about the new Texture package that I have created. I have currently corrected a couple of issues with misinformation and this only solves one problem, but the other issue I am having the moment is creating the actual compilation itself.

1. What Files/Folders do I need to copy over to create the compilation for others to use?

2. What are some things I need to watch out for when creating this compilation (like sensitive information that I don't want others to have and etc.)?

If anyone can help me out with this, I would greatly appreciate it. This will help with the next step of the development of the Steam Pixel Project!

1. You need the Interface and WTF folders.
2. You should rename the Server name and ACCOUNT NAME (yes, all caps). You should also delete the Config.wtf (WTF/Config.wtf).

This should be pretty much it. I hope this helps.

What about the Character Saved Variables Folders? Do they need to be included or do I just need to have one good set saved variable and just rename it as "CHARACTER NAME"? Or can I just leave that out?

And thank you Cralor for the quick response!

For the character variables, you just need 1 of your characters and rename it (sorry I left that part out!).

You're welcome.

P.S.: Just by chance you posted right before I hit the 'Refresh' button after coming back from eating.

One more question and I think I should be done...

All of the .old and .wtf files within the Account Folder like "Config-Cache.old" and "cache.md5", what about those files as well? Should they be left alone or should they be deleted as well?

I'm just trying to make sure that I'm only adding what is necessary for the compilation to work without actually compromising anything else.

I do not know for sure, but I believe you can delete most of that. Make sure you know your users won't need those settings before you delete them.

Both the .old and .wtf files just hold all your keybindings and other settings. (After all, this is the 'SavedVariables' folder :P.)

Correct! I downloaded some other various UI zips just to see what other Authors have been doing with them, and I'm seeing them leave them in there. I'll trim it though!
