LUA Editor

Is there a LUA editor that will basically emulate an addon and let me see real-world action? There is an addon I want to modify but would rather do it in that type of environment instead of editing code, loading WOW, etc.

Sure. I recommend http://www.wowinterface.com/download...66-WowLua.html but there is also http://www.wowinterface.com/download...uaConsole.html which was just released.

Even TinyPad and some other notepad type addons will run code for you.

/edit: and don't forget the /script (a.k.a. /run ) slash command.
