searching tables

Ive been looking all over for a tutorial on how to implement a search box into my addon, just like AtlasLoot, but to no avail. Ive even gone through the coding in AtlasLoot, but the use of libs and such is throwing me off track.

So, my question is, can anybody point me towards a tutorial on how to do this?

I can't tell you how it's done, but I can tell you of a couple other mods with search boxes so that you can check their code.
