Wrath of the Lich King confirmed

Well, WoWinsider has confirmed that Wrath of the Lich King is going to be the next expansion to World fo Warcraft. Here is a link to the article.

Here is a link to worldofwar.net forums where they have information on it also. They say only tauren and gnomes are able to be Death Knights (wtf?).

New link >>> http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3161725

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee..... great! Another expansion that 70% of the WoW subscribers won't see a lot of content of.

Woot!

Too bad there is nothing other than a board up with the confirmation of the expansion title. No other "definitive" information as of yet, I guess.

Interesting stuff.

I have some mixed feelings on it as usual. I don't think Blizz should be pumping out another XP just yet, as there is still alot of room for additions with the world as it is. Alot of players are still anticipating Zul'Aman, Uldum, the Azshara Crater BG, etc. Not everyone powerlevels as many toons to 70 as possible.

I did expect Northrend to be the next location though. That was inevitable and a good call. Most things I hear about the new continent are good. The Inscription profession sounds OK. Not as cool as JC, but could have some potential.

I'm not crazy about the Death Knight though. When Blizz first announced Hero Classes, they sounded awesome! Similar to D&D's Prestige Classes. Lets say I want to choose the Marksman Hero Class, open to Hunters and Rogues, I would level from 70-80 or 75-80 as a Marksman, gaining access to their abilities. This Death Knight smells of Jedi from SWG. One Hero Class (as opposed to at least two), being race restricted, and starting at high level, doesn't sound like the wisest thing to me.

Just my initial thoughts and 2 copper worth.

You would think that Blizzard would want for you to improve your *EXISTING* character(s); not have to create a new one after getting to a certain "peak".

Hero classes should build upon existing classes, but allow for you to specialize into one of three different specialized builds that you could choose from. They could just offer specific spells/talents/abilities that the player can't choose, but just "get" depending on the path that you choose.

From what I read they are.

Exactly. 3 Hero classes for each class (although having some "shared" would be ok imho). Almost exactly like Prestige Classes. The kicker is; that it works beautifully. It's one of my biggest *****es with Blizz; their refusal to use existing/tested technology or concept. They always think they can do it better. We'll see though, still a long way away and they will change ALOT of stuff before then.

LMAO.

Cool trailer. I love the siege weapon idea; it's long overdue. I just had a thought though... will we be able to fly in Northrend? Considering it's technically in Azeroth....

I would hope beyond hope that they would put in the flying code into the original Azeroth.

There are *SO* many things they could do to improve the *EXISTING* zones and instances; I would hope that allowing you to finally be able to fly around in Azeroth would be put in the game before this expansion hits.

I'd love to see that too but I wouldn't anticipate it. The best we can hope for is to fly in Northrend. Blizz has shown that they don't care much for expanding "old Azeroth". They would have to upgrade the textures and transition areas to allow us to fly in Azeroth - which probably won't happen.

Each continent is a different server, so I think we will be ok.

We are paying for the game, right?

I don't see why Blizzard shouldn't be *REQUIRED* to update Azeroth if that is what the players decide that they want.

But... anyway... I ramble. I could see that, too. In fact, I'd be rather pissed off if we wouldn't be allowed to fly in Northrend.

We can also infer that humans will be able to be death knights....the trailer shows (what I'm assuming is) Uther being turned into a Death Knight.

Ahh, Uther. Poor man. XD

ROFL that's not Uther! Uther's been dead for awhile man. Arthas killed Uther when he confronted him about his evil way. Those are two unsuspecting (so far) adventures. Also, don't assume because the guy in the movie was human that it will be the only race who will be able to become a death knight.

$30 per two months for twelve months=$360 a year per person.

$360 times 9,000,000 is $3,240,000,000 per year O.o
