How to get rid of annoying bar at bottom of screen.

I just installed this addon compilation but It has this purple/blue (probably for XP) bar at the bottom of the screen, and it looks horrendous and is just annoying the heck out of me. Any way to remove that, or make it, say 100% transparent?
