actually theres a ton of people on my server that use it, and when the next patch comes in (linked AH's) not everyone will be in Org or IF, and this mod will help everyone that is at IF, Darnassus, Org, SW, TB, UC find groups

looks like WoW took Sacha's Idea and ran with it


In addition, the "Looking for Group" and "Trade" channels have been unified among the corresponding cities, meaning you can trade your goods or look for groups in Ironforge while in Stormwind!

Blizzard is working on creating an LFG option into game. CTA was brought up many times within the initial thread. I'm not sure where Blizzard's development is at currently.

from what i ahve seen, all the successful add-on's eventually become WoW's default UI. looks like this one is gona be another default, just like CT_Raid was back before the WoW default UI frams

More than "from what you seen", this is actually the case. Blizzard has been talking with Mod authors and adding stuff into their default UI they feel would benefit the mass players.

This is the case and it's been very intentional. I'm happy for it too. I love to see AddOns gettnig added into the default UI It makes less dependency on AddOns and more guarentees they'll remain maintained.

@Tsurani - Heh, Life hasnt been treating me too bad lately. Hope things are great on your side Actually, I've finally got a bit of free time these days so Im making faster progress with CTA... 'faster' is a relative word, however.

Things were a bit slow this week, since I had to reacquaint myself with my own code, but I've started to make some good progress today.

Also, I have decided to release P7B4 as R7 after a few small bug fixes. I will also release what I've done with P7B5 as an 'under-development' version, just so you can see what I've done so far and contribute to its features and find bugs more effectively. Note that the 'under-development' version may be unstable.

So far these are the bug fixes I have made to my copy of P7B4:

1. CTA_AnnounceTimer now set to 100s
2. LFx triggers will not reset to defaults after editing/restarting.
3. /who requests will have 'n-' before it, and no longer loop indefinitely

Please let me know of any more bugs to be fixed before I release P7 B4 as R7.

First of all, I love the new look
I tried the beta once shortly but when I swiched to another page it gave me an error and stoped working for this session. I haven't had much time back then so I reverted to the 'stable' version but I'll try to reproduce the error.

On small request: could you color the small note icon in the lfg/lfm list to indicate if it's a cta group/player? Atm, the only way to get this information is hovering over the entry, isn't it?

some more feedback

Using R9 here.

Mod is indispensable

One problem I have is with getting the level filter to work.
(could be I don't know how to set it)
Anyway, on the tab with the search options I input - for ex. - 52 to the first box of the level filter and leave the second one blank (meaning I want to see LFG requests only from lvl 52 chars and up).

The class selection dropdown has the default value (any) as well as all other checkboxes and such.
When I switch back to the search results tab and update my results I still see LFG requests and advertisements from all levels.
Is this expected behaviour? (I don't understand what the level filter is supposed to do? )
