Newb needs help!

Ok, i'm new to manually installing WoW stuff, and well, I think I screwed up... big time.

I tried to download a UI pack, and I forgot to save a back up of my WTF and Interface files, rather, it wouldn't let me move them, so I went ahead and wrote over them... and I messed up my WoW.

Is there anyway i can get the default folders back?

delete you WTF and Interface folders then log onto your character then exit WoW again and you will have the default ones back.

its just checking everything cause the game thinks its a fresh install wont take long.

Edit: thats windows making sure you have the right permissions to do that.

Im trying to delete the WTF and interface folders in the World of Warcraft folder thats in the Program Files folder.

(Program Files (x86)->World of Warcraft->WTF and Interface)

when i try to delete it, the window that pops up says Destination Folder Access Denied, and it gives me 2 options, Try again or cancel

And no, the game isn't up when i try it

yes, im the only one thats ever made a user or anything on it, so i don't understand why it won't let me do it

EDIT: I'm gonna try a Blizzard repair and also, when i start up WoW when it lets me, the interface crashes WoW, i think.

I have had this issue in the past, and the fix for me was to uninstall then reinstall into the C:\Users\Public\Games directory. Once I did that I don't have any of the security issues (Windows is very protective of it's Program Files directory).

Program Files shouldn't even be the default install path for WoW anymore - they changed this with WotLK (3.0). This is because of the virtual store/permissions issues with Vista and Windows 7.

And yes, you can just copy/paste the whole directory.
