And then to add insult to injury, I am sure Scott is sick to death of this bug, I am on Windows 7 Home 64bit and none of my characters have special characters.

So next question.

Of all the people not having the problem. When was the last time you set your key bindings up ? For those that are having the problems, are your settings more recent ?

Let's see if there is a relatively recent time factor involved here for all those people that are having problems. Especially when it seems not all characters are getting the problem. Possibly an old character that is hardly played.

Scott,
A good number of my toons have special characters (half and half about). The new version of nUI plus the 2 updated files you posted, so far, have fixed the keybind issue for me.

I have not, however, gone into combat to see if I lose them.

this is what you get when you let babies code a game like wow lol, this all started back when they was adding that new interface for the quest and stuff.

Some keybindings stick, others seem to disappear. No problems when entering or exiting combat.

Using nUI 5.06.10 (Plus)

The first screenshot show that the keybindings work, but the ones from the second screenshot don't seem to stick. The keys are ALL saved in the keybinding interface, but they don't show on the actionbars and pressing the keys don't perform the action. It's pretty safe to say that if it doesn't get shown on the actionbar, it doesn't get set.

Very weird.

Just thought I'd add some more weirdness to an already weird problem.

Hmm, that is interesting. Now, if memory serves the keybinding tests Ive been doing are working on the section that isn't working for you ... but that was about 2 or 3 fixes back. Will have to test it again if my internet doesn't die on me again tomorrow rofl.

Wow... now that's weirder than anything I've seen so far... the Blizzard key binding panel shows the keys are bound to those action buttons, but when you press the key, nothing happens?

Just to confuse us more, here's an update. LOL.

I managed to get it fixed. I went into the keybinding panel and assigned the keys to the default blizzard actionbars. It didn't update the panel, but when I pressed OK it updated the actionbars properly. Did a "/nui rl" and everything still works.

Please tell me that you are just as freaked out by this as I am.

hi,
everytime i login in wow, i'm asked if i want to reset my keybinding to default. i'm using myBindings2 - maybe it comes from this.
using now nui 5.6.10

I am using nUI version 5.06.08 (Plus) with only my update (remember when I edited that line?) and the ONLY time something seems to go wrong is when I have a latency greater than 200. If it's higher than that, something doesn't work right.

Knock on wood... I can't seem to get my keybinds to disappear (knock on wood), and I've been trying since the last update of nUI (knock on wood), so I think you may have fixed it for me (knock on wood)!

I don't know if this will help or not. I have never had the key binding issue on my character however I have noticed after several updates and at random times when I log in that i will get the prompt in the screenshot below. I always clicked cancel becasue I didn't want to lose my bindings and I have never had an issue (minuse the prompt every now and then). This happened after I upgraded to the latest version today.

hey scott since that last update to 5.06.10(plus) it seems the keybinds are staying on login, at least everytoon I login to last night after getting it and today the bindings show.

I upgraded to the latest version of NUI + today now I can not set key-bindings per toon, I must set a default set for all my toons. If I check to have bindings for toon 1 set, it will change it back to default on next login. It will also pop up a box saying it is and if you say no it still resets them, but it will hold one default set for all my toons.

I was looking at this and with where I said "and the ONLY time something seems to go wrong", that's not referring to the keybindings, but to the entire Interface. (such as more than half of it not loading properly(noticed it after patch 3.2) But that was happening a while before the keybinding issue(noticed after patch 3.3). I believe this could be important if the problem persists.
(in my opinion, if it's related to the latency, then it's probably a timing issue)
(This may be interesting: Without addons, my keybindings may take up to a second to show up with latencies greater than 200) This May be a separate problem, I'm not sure.

It appears we still have a bug in the key binding code... it was brought to my attention via an e-mail overnight. At log out the key bindings are not being saved back to the WoW default action bars which means that if you (gasp) disable nUI, your key bindings are "lost" until you enable nUI again (that will teach you not to disable nUI!)

I also need to look into the issue with nUI insisting that key bindings be account wide versus per character. This one has me fully miffed.

I'm not sure if I'll get to work on these tonight or not, but I will try to.

Scott - don't take this personally, but to me, IMO...I have no problem with the keybindings just sticking with nUI =) you're gonna go bald pulling out your hair.
