Keep in mind that the newest version of nUI is *not* the first time I have seen the character specific question pop up. It has happened at random times in the last 6 months or so. It wasn't every time I logged in in the past but it did occur at random times (possibly after patch updates, or maybe after nUI updates occasionally..I can't remember). I have always clicked cancel and never had any other issues with my keybindings.

Latency issues can effect your UI's loading at startup. Just like latency issues can effect DBM timings; spell lag etc and so forth. I wouldn't tie latency into any of the keybind issue's because I don't have latency issues. And yet I get various issues with my Keybinds. I don't know if thats what your referring too; but I was trying to catch up on this post to see whats been up lol

-----------

Also; I can't use NUI with my Druid; I've actually dual installed to use another UI for my druid; and i stick with nui for my alts. (It's kinda sucky cuz I have to have 2 separate installations of WoW for this.. ugh :\ ) I've even raided with the Current installation of NUI+ and I still have to reload in raids to fix my issues. However my other 80's I have no problems with NUI at all. Like I've said plenty of posts before; WoW hates us poor druids lately lol

Good luck scott. Don't go insane fixing this. Perhaps its a sign from the Gaming Gods that we need 6.0 out *whistles*

Yes Raynar, I read, thought about it and then shook the cobwebs out of my head rofl.

I am constantly running wow at 300ms latency playing on the US servers from the UK. I have never had a keybind issue with nUI installed. I recently had it with no addons at all due to a fresh install but those got resolved by copying the default keybinds to my character specific ones. This alone made me wonder if they changed how that part of keybinding worked and the character specific ones are messed up.

Now whether in your case it is a latency problem I cannot guess seeing as my latency issues haven't caused me much if any problems with loading up.

I read *EVERY* message that is posted in the nUI forums. Always. However, I don't always post a reply either because I don't want to add extra "chatter" to the thread, or simply because it may not directly require a reply. That said, I consider all of the input and comments I receive without fail.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I always answer with short and concise answers. Even when there is no particular need to be short and concise or a lengthy answer may possibly confuse the reader. But then if the reader is confused, I never can be sure if it is the fault of the writer or the reader. Maybe it is both. But the point is that when I answer a question I think it is imperative to be direct and to the point. I mean, really, there is just no point in rambling on with endless prattling. I realize that some people, when faced by a wall of text may feel it is too much trouble to read all of those words, so I have to make sure I use as few words as possible to make the point. I wonder, however, if sometimes because I always tend to be so short winded that I end up leaving the reader with the impression I was being disrespectful, or perhaps in my obsessive need to keep my replies as short as I possibly can I end up leaving them feeling like their question wasn't answered or that they have irritated me in having asked the question or that I don't feel their question deserves an answer and what's with the lack of punctuation and run on sentences that people write anyway. Did I mention that it is also really important to stay on topic when you are writing short replies to questions?

Yes, I read your posts. But I don't believe latency has anything to do with the keybinding issue. As some can tell you that have seen more than a dozen or so of my in game screenshots, I run at around 12ms and I still suffered from the keybind bug.

That has to be one of the best thing's I've seen posted so far on the NUI forums.. Lol

Oh and.. I still think its a sign from teh Gaming Gods. Or Scott gets amused at some of us having these problems; probably has an and/or/if statement written in to detect a player and cause weird errors.. just so he can laugh maniacally like Mr. Burns...

Just to add my tuppence worth. These are my observations afater the last update.

Druid stance change keybinds are ok now. I think. At least, tree->caster->tree ->cat all had keys showing. (keristrasza fight.. stance dance out of ice traps)

Thats my only toon with stances.

Apart from that, I get asked at every login to set the keybinds to global. I've just taken the easy way and said yes for the time being.

But if you haven't noticed, I edited my own fix into the version I have (5.06.08), and the problems I'm left with is stuff like my top left action bar completely missing. I don't have any keybinding issue. (also, isn't the action bar file a separate file from keybindings?(not a yes or no question))

Edit 1: Nvm, completely forget the question part, and the part about the top left action bar, I just got that fixed.

Exclamation Message everytime I log in to game

Heya,

First of all my thanks for bringing nUI into my game. It's a great addition to WoW and couldn't play the game without it anymore.

After installing nUI_5.06.10_Plus I get the message that wants to delete my character keybinds (so happy I can cancel that).
I never had this problem in previous versions of nUI so just notifying this. Hope this helps.

OMG!!! If you wake up one day without any internet, I'm probably the one that stole it.

I'm just happy if I get below 400ms. LOL.

And regarding the keybindings: It seems to be sorted out for me know. Haven't had the "RESET" question, or lost them yet.

FWIW: Two things...

First, I have to work today (sigh) -- I got called in to rescue a project that the government is going to be here to test on Monday and is having a problem at the last minute. So, it will likely be later tonight before I can look at the remaining key binding issue and the new nil math error in the micro menu.

Second, my Windows 7 beta has expired and is rebooting my PC every two hours, so I gotta break down and rebuild my computer -- install a real copy of Windows 7 I've been procrastinating on and that's going to be a big job.

So... those two things taken together, I won't be able to do e-mail today and I likely will have very limited access to the forums for support. I *may* get back online sometime tonight, but you may not hear from me until tomorrow, Monday if things go badly at work today.

Okay... I'm partly back online... I have my PC updated to a valid copy of Windows 7 and I have Firefox installed. It took pretty much all night last night and all day today because Windows kept rebooting every two hours and screwed with my backups.

I should be able to get e-mail re-installed tomorrow night along with my development tools and so on. Hopefully I'll be back up to full speed by Tuesday.
