CT_Mod: How to disable (get rid of) CT_Playernotes only?

Hi,

I'm using CT_Core in order to have questlevels shown in my questlog and to have the functionality of CT_Mailmod available.

However I'm also using AuldLangSyne for my friendslist and -notes.

This is where my problem starts. I now have two edit-note-buttons (the note-icons) showing up next to each entry in my friendslist: the one from CT_Playernote (dispensable) and the one from AuldLangSyne (which I want to stay).

My question: How can I get rid of the CT_Playernote-module which cannot be disabled in the game itself and which seems to be hidden in the depths of CT_Core?

TIA!

Don't think you can, but why do you use that other note system when you got the note system with ct_notes?

Because it's much more functional. May I quote frome the Ace-Wiki

http://www.wowace.com/wiki/AuldLangSyne

Things this does better than CT_PlayerNotes:
  • Notes can be set to display when a player logs on, and in tooltips for that player.
  • You can have different notes for characters with the same name on different servers.
Things this does better than FriendsFacts:
  • Has a "compact" mode, showing all the info on one line, and the note on the next.
  • Colors class names in the friends list.
  • Has options to adjust which bits of friend info get displayed.
  • Has been updated for recent patches. Oh yes, I went there.
However I'd like to keep CT_Core for the Mailmod. If there's an alternative to that, I'd be willing to switch. CT_MailMod adds a "Mass Mail" option to your mail window, which allows you to send up to 21 items or stacks of items to the same person with one click. Unfortunately it's part of CT_Core.

Bulk Mail from wowace should do that for you.

You can use an addon like nQuestLog to display quest level as well.

nQL also does a bunch more. Take a look at LowMemoryQuest on this site.

I'd also suggest to get rid of all your CT_Addons.

There are plenty of great replacements for all the features CT has (some of them were already mentioned).

Personaly I only use CT_MailMod (this is standalone) And i use AuldlangSyne for my Friend Guild Notes, therefore you do not need to keep CT_Core

I don't believe CT_Core is a dependacy. You should be able to use CT_Mail without CT_Core. You will only lose out on the gui interface to configure it.

You are partly correct. You do not need CT_Core installed to use CT_Mail mod however the GUI is built into every CT mod as part the mod's libraries. There is no MiniMap button however the handy /command:

/ct

will bring up the GUI menu. This is true for all CT mods except CT_RA

Thanks everybody for your replys and proposals. I'm now using Bulk Mail and am still testing some alternatives to the quest-log. However: bye bye CT_Player Notes!
