LFDAutoJoin is a simple and lightweight mod that automatically joins LFDs when ready.

It's controversial, as I'm enabling AFK/idle people to auto-join. I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard blocked the functionality. There were/are mods to auto-join BGs, so I made one for LFD.

LFDAutoJoin will by default play a loud and long bell sound that, with appropriate volume, could be heard from other rooms if AFK. For DPS who miss 15 minute queues because they like to do other things than stare at a monitor while waiting for their 15 minute queue to pop, this mod will come in handy.

If your character is AFK when you auto-join, after zoning you will print a polite BRT message to let the group know that (hopefully) you are back very soon. For me, I'm usually in a nearby room and can listen for the distinct bell sound sequence this mod plays and know I can still finish what I'm doing AFK within a minute and make the LFD.

I ran across this idea working on my own LFD addon a while ago that's designed to replace the LFD queue status and role check frames, but I decided not to implement it. The idea sounds useful, but as you stated, it enables people that are AFK to enter without being there. A lot of the LFD groups I've come across are impatient and won't appreciate waiting the 10-15 mins needed to boot them. I realize that you intend to get back as soon as you can, but I wouldn't trust anyone else that may download this.

I hesitated to implement it, too. But as my chars are healers/tanks
I have instant groups. And when I see that building groups fails
sometimes 3 times in a row because a dd is afk this function is
no longer as bad as it seems. We healers and tanks are rarely
afk because the group is available the same moment we join
and most instances can be started with a missing dd. Hell, with a
tank and my holy nova I need no dd at all for some
So when a mate asked me if I could add it to MiscHelper I did
but added a "Please" to the description to use it carefully

I'm still working a bit on MiniLFD, even though I doubt I'd put this option in. The popup is still annoying since it takes up most of my viewing area. Especially when I'm in the middle of a fight or want to move somewhere safe so I won't get attacked when popping back out of the dungeon... or when I need to get out of Dalaran to avoid getting lag locked in reentry.
