Eh, nowadays I don't think anyone can take credit for a truly original idea. Everybody gets their ideas from someone else then other people get the idea from them, and so on and so forth. In the end most people will have more or less the same UI.

It's always been like this though. I remember back when all custom UIs were the same generic black box along the bottom of the screen. Then the gradient craze. The minimalism craze. This is just one step further.

We should have a "UI evolution" thread.

I meant something similar to the old "The art of interface design" thread on the EJ boards. I used to read that one religiously but now it hasn't been updated in 6 months and I'm not going to be the one to necro it

More or less a work in progress:

As you can see, it's no where near perfect (still need to fix the pixel fonts among other stuff) but I'm quite happy with the layout so far.

Heavily inspired by Nizari's UI from the official interface forums.

Yup. REMIX - TurboPINK Edition!

(I'm actually going to include a separate reflux profile for it in the next release of REMIX, too.

OMG the pink! WTB Purple for my baby toons so I have something to look at while lvl'ing haha. Max lvl UI = functional, leveling UI... must be entertaining
