Addons button??

So I'm obviously very new to Addons/UI/Macros etc.

I read the FAQ and tried one out, my only problem is that I don't see any Addon button anywhere on the Character Select screen.


Can somebody help me???

if you dont see an addons button its cause you didnt put the addon in the right folder most likely. You unzip the addon .. you open that folder you take the folder thats in that folder and put it in your addons folder inside your interface folder.

go to your wow folder, it should look like this for addons to go into

x:\WoW\Interface\AddOns

all addons will then go into the AddOns folder. if the above mention path/folders don't exist, you may create them.

I figured it out.

I had it in the right folder, but for some reason I had to restart the program.

Yes wow needs to be exited and restarted before any addons will appear and work. WoW loads any addons (or at least what can eventually be loaded) when you are at the login screen. If you add anything while WoW is running it requires a complete restart to detect them.
