Someone told me to be able to get location points i need a mod... anyone able to point me in the right direction to find this?

as in a mod that tells your current coordinates? there are several addons you can try.

simpleminimap - changes your minimap and can also add a coordinate box
titan panel - can display your location and coordinates
fubar - core plugin; need the proper module for it to show you your coordinates. can be found at www.wowace.com/files
