Unhappy Inconsistencies when configuring UI with different characters

New user of RealUI here. Here are my observations using a fresh installation. Perhaps someone can help me figure out what's going on with some of them.
  1. Getting the UI profile to be the same with all my characters isn't very intuitive.

I have RealUI set up the way I want it on character A. 3 bars on the bottom and other modifications to my liking across the UI.

When I log in to character B for the first time with RealUI and click to install the UI, it does the normal setup with 1 bar in the middle and 2 in the bottom. I go to the profile settings for RealUI and it seems to also be set to "RealUI", the very same profile that character A's profile settings say. This is extremely confusing. What is controlling my ui preferences? Why do both characters show "RealUI" despite the characters having very obviously different profiles?
  2. The grid system is different for different characters?

I logged in to aforementioned Character A this morning after having everything set up correctly last night, only to find that my entire UI has shifted up approximately 30 units. This is inconvenient, but I just shifted all of my WeakAuras and other relevant positions up by ~30 to accommodate.

Then I log in to Character B again and notice that this shift has not happened to character B. To make sure that I'm not crazy, I use /realui to check the positionings of the Aura Tracker and the Cast Bar on both characters A and B.

    On Character A:
    - Cast bar @ 0 horizontal, 0 vertical offsets: http://puu.sh/qqiAs/fa880653f7.jpg
    - Aura tracer @ (-98, -150): http://puu.sh/qqiLb/c838b0344e.jpg

    On Character B:
    - Cast bar @ 0 horizontal, 0 vertical offsets: http://puu.sh/qqkV2/42ddea2369.jpg
    - Aura tracer @ (-98, -150): http://puu.sh/qqkVE/9e86d0a3b3.jpg

And let me stress again, this happened after I logged out the night before with everything perfectly the way I want it, and the next morning. I did nothing in the interim. The reason I noticed it is because when I logged in in the morning on Character A, I noticed my WeakAuras were offset and clipping some Ui elements that they were not clipping just the night before.

The UI is beautiful and I want to use it, but using it is very quickly becoming confusing when I want to position things.

Any help would be really appreciated.

1. Check the profile that is set in Bartender.

2. If you move the cast bars for your mage, then /rl. Do they stay where you moved them? What about on your hunter?

I had a similar problem when I started using the UI, unlike you I prefer 3 bars in the middle and 1 at the bottom, the joys of being a clicker.
Unfortunately I cant really remember how I fixed it, however I'm certain it was something in the bartender settings, possibly ticking the "Control Layout" feature (Allow realUI to control the bartender4's layout settings)
I hope that works for you
