Beginner Help Plz :)

Hey there everyone.. been using mods pretty much since day 1 of playing wow and I would like to give back to the community if thats possible

Im very interested in learning how to actually script these mods and UI's and such.. can anyone point me in the general beginner direction.

I have done scripts for things like EasyUO and generalized php scripting.. but beyond that im clueless where to start with lua
