Cast bar flashing

Hello!
First, great job on 0.9, it's a great HUD.

I was in Scholo last night, first instance I've done since installing DHUD 0.9, and I noticed that after spamming a few shadowbolts that the casting bar's outline would start flashing, along with the cast time (which would be 0.0 since I wasn't casting). Sometimes it would flash red, sometimes green. Anyway I don't know if this is a feature I haven't looked up, but I'm guessing it's a bug since it happened at the most random times, and it didn't happen when I was low on mana or under attack or anything. After a fight I'd just see it flashing, and it wouldn't go back to normal until I casted another spell.

Sorry, that wasn't a very useful report! It's kinda tricky to look into something like that in an instance, but I'll have another play around today and let you know if I find anything.

DHUD Beta 4 is ready to Download.

DHUD 0.9 beta 4

Added Features
  • Druidbar Support
  • Option to change Barcolors
  • Added second Layout

Fixed Bugs:
  • DHUD now leaves Combat when Zoning
  • Castingbar had Problems when spamming a Spell (should work now)
  • DHUD now works with 1.11 Client
  • Druid Shapeshifting now works fine
  • Minimap Button on Top of Bag Buttons etc.
  • Player PvP Icon does not hide when Player dead
  • Castingbar was in front of Tradeskill Windows
  • hmmm and maybe more

Thanks man, the update's great. I love the second layout you added!

I tried it in AV last night and ran into one or two bugs though. On one occasion I got the flashing casting bar error again - it flashed red with a timer of 0.1 while I wasn't casting. At the time I was behind the South Bunker in SP waiting to go out of combat so I could mount up and jump in, but I was stuck in combat for so long I got bored and ran round to the front. :P Anyway, my point is maybe the fact that I was in combat had something to do with it.

Also, another error popped up several times but I've no idea what caused it:
"Interface\Addons\DHUD\DHUD.lua:1906: bad argument #1 to 'unpack' (table expected, got nil)"

Another thing, about the size of the Casttime edit box, I wanted to add <spellname> beneath the cast time rather than next to it, so I left a line in the options between <casttime> and <spellname>, however that just caused the spelltime to truncate.
So <casttime><spellname> produces "0.5 Shadowbolt"

Whereas:
<casttime>
<spellname>
produces "0.5.."

Is this because the size of the casttime edit box is too small or something?

Thanks for your reports. What Class are u playing? A Hunter or Warlock ?
The Textboxes are not multiline yet. I will add that Feature after DHUD 0.9.

Hmm i dont know what the flashing Castingbar issue is. I will take another look

Got an error when changing the color of the player mana bar. I was adjusting the far right color. Problem is I couldn't duplicate it and didn't write down the first one. Sorry. Hopefully that helps you out a little if it gets reported again.

In the Layout will there be the ability to store a custom layout? I basically use the same layout across all my characters and it just means alot of clicking everytime I setup a character. Just wondering.

I love where it's headed. I've become so used to this mod I cannot play without it. Keep it up and thanks for spending the time.

Thanks Hmmm lets hope that we can reproduce that Bug I will start some tests on that tomorrow. In one of the next Versions i will add a way to store different Settings.

I might have another bug for you Drathal! I shoved <spellname> in the cast delay edit box for now so it shows right above the spell time, and just gets shifted over to the right abit when there's a spell delay. Anyway I just noticed while farming shards that some spells appear as numbers, so where it would usually say 'Drain Life' it says '15000' instead.

Here are the ones I noticed:
Cannibalize - 10000
Health Funnel - 10000
Drain Soul - 15000

It happened with those spells every time I used them, I'm not sure how many others cause the same error though.

OK I've tried and tried to reproduce that so called bug but nothing. I would say forget I ever mentioned it. Everything appears to be working perfect in colors.

Hello! Great MOD, thanks for your time and effort on this.

Using .9b4

I have 2 things though.

1. When changing the colors of the Player HP and Mana in the options the changed colors do not reflect on the ui itself. For instance, I changed mana to navy blue but it stays that green shade.

2. How can I change the hp and mana to display the % under the figures. Currently it is set at hp/hp (100%), I would like to change it to show...

hp/hp
100%

How can I do that?

Ahhhhhh BIG Thanks. I fixed the Error now. Spellnames was wrong on all Channel Spells. DHUD 0.9b5 will fix that

1) You know that you have to change the very left Color to change the Color of the Bar when its at 100%? The other colors are for 70% and 30%. You did that ?

2) You can only use ONE Line for the Textboxes. its not possible to use multiply Lines yet. I will add that in one of the next Version. To put in hp/hp_may (100%) Simply choose the Selectbox right of the Editbox and change it there.

Great mod... downloaded it yesterday to give it a shot and love it so far.

Two questions:

1. When I enable the portrait frames for my character and for targeted mobs (yea, I like to look at the pics. ) the frame is there but no portraits or pictures are present, just a blank area where they are suposed to be. Is that suposed to happen or is this a flaw? If it's supposed to happen how do I enable the pictures again?

2. Do you have any plans for enabling timers in the HUD for Hunter skills and such (i.e. Auto Shot)? Right now I have other timer bars being used for such things but would probably drop them in exchange for an "all-in-one" package.

Just one thing I've been meaning to ask for awile, when I am dead - the bar's won't be visible.

I would love it to be, for when I die early at some boss - I like to be able to watch my guildies carry on fighting

PS: all exept the bars is visible, elite texture, texts you name it.

1) Sometimes the Portraits for Player / Target frames (Blizz Frames) are missing when you enable em. After some time they will pop in. This is only happen when you Enable the Frames the first Time.

2) Yep i will support Aimed Shot in one of the next Versions.

3) Yes the Bars will hide when youre Dead. I will add a new Alpha mode in one of the next versions so you can choose to see the Bars when Dead.

Just thought I'd note that I had the flashing casting outline not disapearing problem again, at the time I was skinning core pups in MC.
