Video viewer addon?

Before the 2.0 patch and the big changes to addons, there used to be an addon that was able to view video files playing on winamp. It would create a view box within the game and be able to watch watever was on it. I was wondering if it is still possible to make that kind of addon, doesn't have to be for winamp, just any kind of video viewer.
