Q: How do I make the Health bars act like the normal WoW health bars (full bars = full health)?

To change this, go to /realui -> Unit Frames -> General -> Reverse Bar Direction.

Q: Why do some Addon settings not save after I reload the UI or log out?

RealUI automatically controls some of the settings of a number of addons, so any changes made to these settings won't persist unless you release RealUI's control.

RealUI control of all addons can be set through the /realui -> Other -> AddOn Control config panel.

Alternatively, an option called RealUI Control exists in a number of RealUI config panels.
For Action Bars (Bartender) this option is found under /bt.
For Raid Frames (Grid) these options are found under /grid.

Q: How do I make the fonts larger or use non-pixel fonts?

Font options can be found in the /realadv -> Skins -> Fonts config panel.

Q: How do I make the Action Bars remain visible?

The action bars in RealUI remain hidden unless one or more of the following conditions are met:
  • The Ctrl key is pressed
  • You have set Focus to a unit
  • You have an Attackable target selected
  • You are in combat
  • You are in a group

To make it so the bars remain visible, go to /bt -> Advanced Settings -> Bar #(1-5) -> Visibility tab -> untick Use Custom Condition.

Q: My computer is quite weak / super powerful. Anything I can do to get the most out of it?

RealUI has a Power Mode setting which will adjust the speed at which some of the more intense or graphical UI elements are performed. There are three settings:
  • Economy - Can help increase FPS on slower PCs, while reducing the graphical performance of the UI slightly.
  • Normal - The default setting, a balance between CPU usage and graphical performance of the UI.
  • Turbo - For powerful PCs that have no FPS issues, will use up more CPU cycles for an increase in the graphical performance of the UI.

To change this setting, go to the Start button at the bottom left of the screen.

Q: How do I hide the Blizzard party frames?

Hit Escape and go to Interface -> Raid Profiles. Then check Use Raid-Style Party Frames.

Q: How do I enable the Blizzard raid frames?

Go to /real -> UnitFrames -> Groups -> Raid. Then uncheck Hide Raid Filters.

Q: Can I use my own Raid Frames (instead of Grid2)?

Yes. Feel free to disable/delete the Grid2 addon and use your preferred addon.

Q: Does RealUI include a Raid Encounter addon (Big Wigs, DBM, etc)?

Due to the nature of Raid Encounter addons and how often they need to be updated, RealUI does not include one in the download package. RealUI does however come with a skin for DBM and Big Wigs to help it match the theme of the UI.
