Whats this addon called

Hey..

apart from the sick interface i marked a part in this ui with red arrows and a red circle where you can see some "now playing..."....does anyone have a clue if this is an ingame player/display from an external player like winamp/itunes...

would rly appreciate any help since im looking for some ingame display which shows the actual playing song from my winamp/WMP...

Likely an MP3 player AddOn.

AddOns cannot communicate outside the "sandbox". Likewise, external programs such as iTunes, WMP and Winamp cannot read/write data in WoW (other than to read/write to the settings files). Thus you cannot have an in-game display for WMP/iTunes/Winamp/etc.

As Lykofos mentioned, there are addons that will play music for you and act as an mp3 player. I can't think of the name of one off the top of my head, however.

Also, while outside programs cannot interact with WoW, some do have an overlay for the screen. WinAmp, for example, has a setting to pop up a box in the corner with whatever new song it's playing.

/edit: to be able to control my music from "within" WoW, I <333 my media keyboard. Let's me skip ahead, pause, adjust volume, etc.

ye im aware of the global hotkeys for winamp :P

but i was just curious how he made the "overlay display-Addon" whatever :P

ok think i need to be pleased with the overlay window in the corner from winamp (think ill need to run wow in windowed mode then??)

I use windowed/maximized. But I haven't used the overlay since I got dual monitors.

I used a similar skin for winamp many moons ago - left it in the background after the novelty wore off.

I use "SimpleMP3 Player 2009" which is over on curse. Pretty much you grab the songs you want, throw em into the MP3 folder of the addon, then run a bat file much like enabling SharedMedia_MyMedia files.

A search of "MP3" there also brings up the Titan Panel display, though there's already a general hideable one provided. Keybinds are also possible.
