I still have 7 hours till my client downloads, so I won't be disappointed until after it finishes... if I still don't have my key. No big deal, though. I hear the beta server is always crashing and resetting anyway. :)

I've been a registered user for a couple years, and have been writing AddOns for that much time. I've just been hosting them on my own site and the Beta Key giveaway urged me to start sharing them with this site.

I believe a wave of invites to opt-ins (random people) went out Thursday night/Friday this week. Hopefully we can expect ours next Thursday night/Friday.

On a related note, I did download the client from:
http://www.wotlkwiki.info/index.php/Main_Page

...and am now installing the many patches that, naturally, are required afterward. Like most of you, I don't have my beta key yet, but I am able to get up-to-date now, so I recommend that you do so. This way, once I get my key, I can upgrade my account and immediately log in, rather than spend a full day downloading the patches.

Great idea - I've just about finished downloading mine now from wotlkwiki .

Slightly off topic, but can you install it over your existing WoW client and still play on 2.4 servers?

You can have them both installed at the same time. It's actually what it does anyway.
