Installation Error

When installing I get the followong error:

Activation context generation failed for "C:\Users\ADMINI~1\AppData\Local\Temp\download-30477.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC90.CRT,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="9.0.21022.8" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

Common error. A required assembly isn't properly registered, so I would recommend (re)installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package.

IF USING x64 ARCHITECTURE (don't think it applies to you but what the heck): Go here and download the latest version of the redistributable: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...4-157cfdffee4e


Warning ! It would seem that sometimes, in order to resolve the issue on x64 systems, the x86 redistributable it still the "correct" one to use.

I get this error when i try to install on windows xp media center edition x86

An error occurred while trying to install: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "C:\DOCUME~(personal names and stuff were here)": CreateProcess error=14001, This application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.


i tried reinstalling twice and still got the exact same error. then i updated my java and still got the same error.

EDIT: went back and downloaded the redistributable like Tristanian said and then it worked thx
