Question Original WoW UI hiding beneth X-Perl

Its only been in the last few days that I have noticed the original player frame is sitting underneath my X-Perl player frame. I have to reload the UI to get rid of it. How is this even possible to have to player frames? Anyone else having the same issue? Is this a bug on X-Perl's behalf? Any known fixes?

It's possible because X-pearl is not properly hiding the unitframes.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Have you posted a ticket for the addon?

And have you tried the latest Alpha version? There have been 4 updates since your original post.

Finally, did you try with all other addons besides X-Perl disabled?

I have been updating using Curse Client, I check it daily.

I just tried disabling all addon but leaving X-Perl enabled. Logged back in and it seemed fine. I then went through and enabled all addons, one by one and logged back in each time to check. All addons are now back on, minus a few I no longer use, and it seems to be working fine now.

Will keep an eye on things and if it happens again I'm thinking I will delete my WTF folder and see if that helps.
Thanks for the help

EDIT: It appears after reloading the screen, ie. using Hearthstone, entering a dungeon etc the problem comes back. Will try further testing of turning off the addons and reloading the UI.

Curse Client will only download alphas if you have it set to in your preferences. (Not always recommended to enable, since alphas may kill your kittens and eat your babies.) But you can download and install them manually from wowace.

You can change your preference for individual addons by right-clicking on the addon in the list on the "My Addons" tab, click "Preferred Release Type", and click "Alpha".

Ended up deleting my WTF and Cache folders, finished setting up my addons all over again, have reloaded the UI a few times with ports and instances, everything seems ok now. Seems I may have fixed the issue, or at least made it disappear for now.

Thanks everyone for your help. Will let you know if the issue comes back
