Video Card and Memory

I had a Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB video card and 1.5 GB of memory, I was getting bad FPS and framerate lag and wanted to upgrade my system. I bought a Radeon HD 2400 Pro 512MB and noticed 0% difference. I also bought 4GB of memory but it didn't fit in my computer. So my question is can anyone tell me a good video card for around 100-150$ that I will notice a big difference from my old 256MB and where can I find 2GB DDR1 RAM?

I've been running an 8800GT for nearly a year and I can strongly recommend it. It's no longer the best around, but it should fit quite snuggly into that budget now.

DDR1 RAM? Not a clue, but you may want to look into upgrading your motherboard/CPU if it's an option.

PS: I also upgraded from a similar system.

WoW is more dependent on your CPU than it is on your video card. You may wish to look into upgrading your processor.

Agreed, throw a good CPU at it as well.

I recently got an AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core 5000+ and a GeForce 9600GSO. Things run wonderfully.

Oh and if you're on AGP still, don't bother till you can get a motherboard with PCIe.
