xml template not appearing

in the tutorial for the program it references a template option appearing once you double-click the xml file you create. i followed the tutorials instructions to the letter (just to make sure i wasn't screwing something up) but all it ever does is take me directly to the text editor portion completely blank. i've double checked all the paths and what not everything is loaded properly that i can see...i cannot seem to figure out what the problem is, any ideas? thanks in advance for any feedback.

I get the same thing happening to me. I also followed the same steps as the OP did. I do see a few frame.xml errors reported at the bottom.
