For some apparent reason yesterday the shaded areas on my mini map that show where the mobs i need to kill are disappeared. I have tried reinstalling and everything else i can think of ... help requested

Take a look in the options screen under either Map, Minimap, or Quests. One of those locations has a checkbox option to enable that feature.

I'm having the exact same problem with mine. I check all the areas you mention and box is checked to show quest areas and nothing is coming up. Ive also tried reinstalling 3.001 and it still doesn't fix it.

So just to clarify.

Map areas and highlighted areas and icons are not showing up.

The option to show these areas in the quest section under options is checked.

so there is definitely a problem somewhere and it worked before I installed 3.001

In your quest log are you watching your quests? IE is the little dot next to them clicked?

Ok, i figured it out. I guess when I installed the new version it reset all the option on the quest tab. Theres a little green button up at the top of the floating quest log that should be pressed to show all quests on the map. Apparently this was reset in the current install. Mines fixed now.

carnage .. fixed me also somehow i completely missed that button i even looked through those... problem solved.
