Simple request? Maybe? Flash screen when Inventory is full

I multi-box with my alts -- and I can get 'in the zone' really easy, and miss that little red text "your inventory is full"

Would be nice to have a more visual method of seeing bag space -- maybe a 'fuel meter' kind of bar - flash the screen when you have only 3 spaces left -- something that would grab your attention, or make it easier to see

I have Titan, and while it shows bag slots open, it's just a number -- and small.

The interface itself now can show this as well, but again, it's small.

Open to ideas, might even try my hand at writing one myself. Could be fun !

check interface options, I think blizzard implemented this as a built in feature in 2.4.

No, it's just a little tiny number on the backpack as well. What I'd suggest is getting SLDataText or another status type mod and setting the bag module to be as large as you want, placed wherever you want on the screen. You could have it placed in the middle of the screen looking like this if you liked:
