ZOMG... yet another music thread

After remembering that I had music in my computer I deided to fire up my media player and play some tunes. But talk about lag! I was just wondering if the lag is something that everyone has learned to deal with or there are less resource hogging MP3 players out there.

I don't have an external player so lets not bring that up

Oh as a side note, anyone can suggest a public vent server? We tried some type of VoIP called 'gizmo project' but I understand that vent or teamspeak sounds a lot better and has push to talk functions.

I always use VLC for my music [If im not using XBMC on my xbox]
It runs on all platforms so you can reccomend it to any PC user
