AutoFollow Scale

Is there a way to adjust Auto Scale so that it scales the player+destination a bit closer? By that I mean so that auto scale still shows the player position and destination, but with less surrounding map showing. At the moment it seems to follow about one click of the "-" button too far away.

Ie. The difference between the current auto scale:

Edit: I don't mean auto scale minimum. That sets an absolute limit on scaling.
