Installed Carbonite but not working

I read all the instructions of the Carbonite "read me" file. I even printed the "read me" file so I could have the instructions on hand when I downloaded and installed Carbonite. I followed the instructions for Vista install. Carbonite installed without any problems into my computer where it was supposed too. The only problem I found was when I logged into WOW and Carbonite did not come up. What do I do to fix this problem? Please help?

At the moment, carbonite is "out of date"

At character select, click "addons" then check off "load out of date addons" and it will work.

They're working on a new release atm, so in the next few days there will be an up to date version.

Get Carb 3.1 and it will no longer show as out of date.

I downloaded carbonite 3.1 and deleted it then reinstalled it over and over.

I followed step by step and still it doesn't work.

Help!! i'm so frustrated that i'm thinking of giving up alltogether.

i have done exactly what i am told and it will not work what is the deal is there a problem. i just cant figure it out. I dont have a problem with any other add on just this one that is updated

99% of the time if the addon won't work (does not show in game) or still shows an old version, it is because it was unzipped to the wrong folder.

Typical locations for the AddOns folder:

Windows XP: "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns"
Windows Vista: "C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns"
Mac: "Machintosh HD/Applications/World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns"

You should have the 3 Carbonite folders like this:

World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\Carbonite
World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\CarboniteNodes
World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\CarboniteTransfer

You should have these 3 files plus several others in the Carbonite folder:

World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\Carbonite\Carbonite.lua
World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\Carbonite\Carbonite.toc
World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\Carbonite\Carbonite.xml
