why wouldnt the player portrait be unnecessary? i've never liked them in my UI and i just dont see the point in having them other then giving you something to get distracted by since its in the middle of your screen.

It's not the player portrait, my guess is that's the ToT frame/portrait.

edit: lurking so much in here, but cant post anything since my UI is a mess atm, will post a screen soon.

I personally think all portraits are unnecessary in a minimal UI as they don't give much extra info, although I guess they can be useful for a ToT/focus frame. Still, at least yours fits nicely with the other frames.

thank you this is like the fifth UI i've personally made since like last november and i cant seem to get the right feeling on one because up until now i never have liked my unit frames.

Bah humbug, only one person has called me a spammer so far. I see myself more as an over-excited poster. You really wouldn't want me to post a screenshot of my UI at the moment anyway.

As for your screenshot, I like the consistency of the borders (even though it looks a little strange in places, with the class colour) and the fonts are clean n' thick. But please, please get rid of ForteXorcist, especially if you're only using it as a shard counter/keeper/whatever.

@maurdr: You may be right, I was having problems with them while setting up. For some reason the Target of Target was always slight higher than my player frame, even though one is a copy of the other. :S

@Wella, Oh no, above my player frame I have the dot timers, and you can see the cooldown timer just above my main action bar.

I have those there simply so I can see who has health stones, soulstones etc.

I don't think spammer is the correct word... It's more like the name of a horde race... can't think of the name of it right now... I'll get it eventually....
