Pitbull doesnt like my Dot timer

on my old UI i used to use DoT Timer, and i have grown very attached to that addon, but not so much the UI. So now I am trying out a new UI, the CherieUI actually, which uses the pitbull unitframes. Now CherieUI doesnt come with DoT timer so i decided to add it in. Now the problem is, when I load up WoW with DoT Timer active, pitbull acts as tho its not even there, it doesnt even show up on the Addon Pref. drop down Menu. Has this happened to anyone else, does anyone know why this happens, can it be fixed, and can anyone recommend me another AddOn like DoT timer that should work with Pitbull if this problem cant be fixed?
