WoW 3.2 PTR Monkey-wrench Thread

looks like some major stuff has changed under the 3.2 PTR. i figured addon authors could use a place to start comparing notes on the weirdness.

feel free to move/rename/replace this, whatever is appropriate.

Nameplate Frame Assembly Issues

0) if anyone spots anything useful over on the Blizzard UI forums, or anyplace else for that matter, on the changes to the API/Widget API under 3.2, feel free to share them with the rest of us.

1) the nameplate assembly still contains a sub-object named "nameTextRegion", but it is now apparently a Texture instead of a FontString, and it has basically just one member, under key 0 (i.e. array index 0), of type "userdata" (WTF?). dissecting this now.

edit: bah, i am just looking at a legitimate Texture (region)... the "nameTextRegion" is still a FontString, and has changed order within the nameplate assembly, i just need to identify it.

2) i have the 3.2 PTR nameplate assembly sorted out. send me a PM if this would be of any help to you.
