Ready for 5.0 ?

With the 5.0 patch only weeks away will RDX be ready with an update on patch day ?

Is there a beta that we can test now ?

You can pull the MoP version 9.x from the repository. Check the forums for links. Sigg says RDX most likely will not be ready on launch day, but you never know.

An alpha version will be available, I think

But yes I will not be ready for Mop, because there are still many things to do

Using only Bartender 4 only does so much ;_;

MOP Branch from repository

I'm running with the MOP RDX branch from the repository.

It is somewhat functional. Many of my addons won't load due to what looks like function names that are returning NIL values in 5.0. My guess is that either the parameters required for those functions have been changed or the functions in question have been completely removed.

I also have some mods that load but with limited functionality. For example, my check for whether or not allies are 'In Range' doesn't seem to be working, which is making it tougher to heal.

Desktops don't automatically load either. I have to load a few other desktops first before selecting my desktop and loading it.

I am not complaining. I realize this is an alpha build. I'm just trying to give some feedback.

Thanks,

= F

Thanks

You can use the master branch now
I will delete the mop branch soon

Rdx9 contains a lot of change compare to rdx8

When migrating remove the internal default and desktops package to let rdx recreate them

Sorry for the late release

Late releases are still releases. Late doesn't matter, Sigg. Most of us are patient, and the ones who aren't, well, nobody should be giving them much credence anyway.

My question is if the styles (mmm Syla!) will work with RDX9 or do they have to be fixed?

Unfortunately, all the themes need to be migrated.

Some features are automatically upgraded, some other features are not upgraded like the new chatframes system.

So, you have to wait.

I can show you my current theme. You can see three Tab Managers, they work like the Blizzard Chatframes tab, you can create a lot of ones now. See the minimap is also available as a tab.

I'm having problems getting desktops to load when I log in to the game. When I try deleting the desktops 'folder' I get an error.

'Cannot delete indelible package'

Not sure what I'm missing.

Yes it is a old security

Right click on the package, select info
Uncheck the box indelibile package

Now you can remove it

Sorry, I'm a little bit lost if anyone doesn't mind helping me out.
So I went to the repository and DL'd the recent RDX package...

I'm currently in game and unchecked Indelible for 'default' and 'desktops' and successfully deleted both of them. I reloadui and they were recreated... I'm a bit confused on what to do next, as I feel like I had not progressed

What do you mean by migrating them? I'm not quite understanding.

At the moment, there is only the core addon in github, no theme.

I am migrating all the themes to this new version.

They will be available soon.
