UI size

Hello, first I would like to say I like this addon alot.

But my main issue is everything is so god damned small Oo.. I have tried changing my resolution and everything but I practically need a magnifying glass to be able to read anything. I can't seem to find an option to increase its size, I tried resizing the ui through the video options but it was already at its largest.

It is bad enough that I will sadly be unable to use this addon unless someone can help me make crap bigger. I was really expecting it to be nice and large and clear like the screenshots showed at curse.com.. My eyes literally hurt from me trying to 'tough it out' and sit 2 inches from my monitor to see anything. Even at 800x600 res everything is tiny.

That said, I could call 800x600 rez very low rez. But that's neither here nor there when it comes to the size of elements on the screen.

nUI is optimized for use on anything from a 17" wide screen on the low end of the scale to a 22" on the high end. At 17" some people will still find it a bit small and at 22" some will find it too big. You have to shoot for the majority on something like this.

Everything in nUI can be resized, but it requires editing the layout files to do it and, obviously, if you make everything bigger, then it's not going to fit inside the bounds of your monitor anymore, right?

Anyway, read the FAQ and see if it helps any. Other than that, there's really little I can offer. It's just not possible for it to work on every monitor size at every resolution out of the box. I can only do my best to make it work for as many as possible.

I appreciate your swift response. I increased my res quite high and used widescreen mode (my monitor is widescreen anyway) and I can at least read the chat text.. kinda.. So I am going to continue using it. If anything it will tell me when I'm too tired to play, when all the words just start bluring together cause my eyes are pooped XD

Guess I'm gonna need a larger monitor!

If chat text is all you are really worried about, you can set the font size in chat log options. If Blizz's fonts are not big enough (like me), I used Prat to change the font size even larger.

Or get something like clearfont for a better font.

I do plan on addressing the font issue in this weekend's update if I can find the right freeware (or freely distributable) font for the job.

I'm still open to submissions from anyone who wants to play around with it. I just need to know the name of the font you chose and a link to where I can download it from (with some kind of confirmation it is not violating any copyrights to do so)
