Changing Text of a Label crashes the app.

Yup I added a new form to my project and created a lablel, after changing the text (appearance) to "Denial a/R.1" UIDesigner simply chrashes without an error output. I guess I'm not allowed to use slashes and dots?

For now it is best not to use dots and slashes. For any text I ask the Lua interpreter if it knows anything about it, and for that combination of text you used, it just bombs the whole thing out. I will have to improve the rejection filter so that you will be able to use it after the next update.
