Clock and Calendar missing

On two of my characters the Carbonite logo is the only icon near the map. I've checked the boxes that say show calendar and show clock. But on these two characters they don't show up at all. All other characters have the clock and calendar, Help someone?

do you have the maps merged?

and do you have it also checked to display the other buttons (cant 'member the option, and this is only needed if the first one is true!)
