Automatic zoom not working

Automatic zoom has not been working for a while, for me.

Such as, when I enter a city, or even worst when I enter a dungeon, the map scale stays the same, so that I can't see the city or the dungeon map itself.

Maybe long ago I tweaked some settings which I forgot about, but still I'd like to solve this problem... any help, please?

Is the Auto Scale checkbox at the top right edge of the map window checked?

You can also change the map scale by putting the mouse over the map and using the scroll wheel or clicking the + - buttons at the bottom of the map.

yes auto scaling is set, and it does auto scale.

only, it scales to a wrong dimension, either as too large (so I don't see the city or the instance) or too small (so I see a portion of the map that contains neither me nor my destination).


I'll try to reset it to default options and see what happens.

Right click a non icon area of map, select Scale and make sure Auto Scale Min is 0.01 and Auto Scale Max is 4.00.
