force the extra action button to show

anyone know if there is a way to force the extra action button to show? I am trying to make an addon that does several spell activation overlays to help watch procs, and I want to force it to show, or create a dummy of it that does show at the same size and position so that I can be sure the frames don't interfere with each other. Thanks in advance!
