DVD Drive Recommendation?

I've been having the most problems with getting a good dvd/cd burner that works for more than like a month or two and then they just seem to stop working. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good IDE or SATA dvd burner that's cheap? Does it read and write all your disks with no errors or problems? I'm using a standard clone tower so just a standard size will be great.
