Stuf border

So i'm trying to get a 1px border for my hp/mp bar on my stuf frames without using kgpanels, but any borders that i have (that i believe are 1px) come out huge. Do i need to make my own border that i know is 1px and use it or is there something that i'm doing wrong in the settings?
