Too many toons

I have been playing for quite awhile now and am starting to wonder...is there such a thing as too many toons? I have a 80 NE hunter, a 74 Human DK, a 71 Dwarf Pally, a 36 Dranei Preist and a 70 Tauren Druid. It seems these days I have to figure out which toon am I playing tonight. Has anyone else ever run into that issue or maybe I am just making myself wonder over nothing. I am sure there are advantages and disadvantages to both sides of it. Just curious about other opinions

I'm an altoholic as well. I have quite a few 40+ characters, and at least one of each class 60+.

80 Mage
80 Death Knight
80 Paladin
80 Hunter
80 Shaman
80 Warlock
70 Rogue
70 Druid
70 Druid (a second one)
70 Mage
70 Hunter
70 Hunter (a second one)
62 Priest
60 Warrior
60 Shaman
45 Priest
45 Paladin
43 Rogue
42 Priest
...And several more < level 40, but I don't feel they are important until they get to that level.

Most definitely. I don't think you can ever have too many alts. Esp once you get all the Professions taken care of you never have to rely on anyone else for things. I made a Hunter and a Druid into farmers for mats and have 3 Alchemists so i can have sexy primals to sell on the AH.

i have a

lvl 80 druid
lvl 80 lock
lvl 80 paladin

and then spread over a bunch of servers a DK or 5/6 at lvl 80.

I transferred my lock/druid when the option became available to horde on another server, leveled a pally there, did a few dk's when trying out other realms or when i found out some of my friends where on those realms ^^.

Recently however, i transferred my paladin back to the very first realm i began on alliance side and only did a transfer for my lock later on coz of the enchanting and tailoring it had.

I've never been more happier than to be able to choose from a maximum of 2 toons to play with :P. In the long run, i guess there will be a few more lvl 80's added to the list, but i'm more or less waiting for the new expansion where more classes are available for more races.

I have figured out my issue with alts - I like leveling more than I like not having time to do anything at endgame. I cannot usually play in the evenings - I play bits and pieces during the day - and the easiest thing to do solo is quest.

So - I have 2 accounts and probably no less than 40 toons that are 40+ spread across many servers with both factions.

Well, you also need one of each profession! *nod* It sucks paying tips for everything, when you could have it all covered yourself. And forget about ever paying for overpriced crafted items at the AH. 50g for a glyph made with Sungrass? Pfft.

Talking

if u have to many toons. do what I do.

lvled a lock to 76, took a screene shot of him then deleted him
lvled a hunter to 80, took a screen shot of her then deleted her.

currently lvling a rogue, 57, going to hit 70 then going to delete her.

I don't like lvling, but I like to set goals and finishing them.

my brother on the other hand has. 1 80 from every class, and every profession.

to each what they enjoy.

In one of the guilds I ran, a few years ago, we had a nelf rogue levelling with us, during the BC era.. when he hit 70, he said in guild chat "Thanks for the grats.. now it's time to delete and start over. thanks for everything guys!"

We, of course, assumed he was joking, until a day or so later, when we noticed he was no longer in the guild roster.. and /friend <name> said "your friends must be part of your alliance" .

He deleted, all right.. he was a great rogue too..

I now have 5 lv 80s myself My priest that was lv 72 is now lv 80 with the "Of the ashen verdict" >.>

Cataclysm, I have a new goal of leveling a warrior, shaman, warlock, and hunter since I don't have those. :s

OH and my DK is lv 73 so I have to get enough motivation to do that as well.
