chat channel help

hello i started a new toon and this started going:

that channel 6 i think and keeps saying gem so on....

how do i turn it off i even disabled all addons and still goes.

i used a thing called gem way back when but have not in a while and dont have it anymore.i tryed typing /leave channel 6 no work.

nm i just reset the chat window and it stoped

all you have to type is /leave 6 (if 6 was the number of the GEM channel)

yeah ive tryed that also tryed diff numbers of channels cept the ones i need 1,2. but was not working till i reset the chat was wierd always does that when i start new toon or go to an old toon i have not been on in a while.

If you have one character using GEM that can mess it up quite a bit though.
In general if you are in a raiding guild (or any guild for that matter) doing premade events by schedule then i recommend you rather get a free website and add an events calendar there instead. That way you get rid of GEM (or any other calendar) and thus should get it removed permanently later on.
