My Unit Frames, actually is Helvetical LT Light, but monochromed, which looks cool to me.

You are free to use what fonts you wish with what UI you like, you aren't forced to use pixel fonts.

If your opinion was the same as my opinion, and my opinion was the same as everyone elses opinion, then life on Earth would be pretty boring, now wouldn't it?

I meant no disrespect to anyone who chooses to use such fonts. I never could use them though due to my horrible eye sight. I know Ive heard people say that fonts especially those used in overhead names could cause performance issues. whether this is true or not I dont know. I thought that maybe such a simple pixel font could maybe help w/ performance. i tend to need to use bold font and even need to use outlines depending on whether the text has a dark background or not.
anyway thanks for the answers.

I personally can't stand real pixel fonts, I just can't make them work with my UIs, I have no idea why. I like to use regular fonts and just monochrome them if I make the pixelized :P

update on my unit frames:

No, there is a bar now class colored, while I liked the grey colorscheme. And I also find the top border of the castbar too high. I also suggest(I don't know if it's possible), to make the background of the moving player model grey instead of black.

Well a pixel font wouldn't cut it IMO, those unitframes look like they could handle something bigger. Browsing through my fonts folder here:

http://www.dafont.com/prototype.font
http://www.dafont.com/sansation.font
http://www.dafont.com/folks.font
http://www.free-fonts-ttf.org/true-t...4-download.htm

http://www.dafont.com/teen.font
http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/linotyp...-garde-gothic/
http://www.dafont.com/neuropol.font
http://www.dafont.com/planet-estyle.font

...I need to clean up that folder.

nothing wrong with the font choice imo, it's just that non pixel fonts tend too look really ****ty when you use monochrome on them imo.. just add regular outline or a small shadow..

Anti-aliasing looks crap on everything IMO, except fonts. (the exception on the exception is pixelfonts ofcourse).

What?

Mandelbrot set comparison time.

Aliased:

Antialiased (quick-n-dirty "blur to downsample"):

This actually proves my statement, since there is no way to display a fractal without aliasing. So if you try to it horribly fails.

1. You can't prove an opinion.

2. Technically true, yes...but we're talking things that are smaller than the pixels in your monitor anyway.

3. You'd be hard-pressed to show me a raster image that looks better aliased (unless it's at extremely low resolution). There's no way you can tell me that first Mandelbrot set "looks better" than its' antialiased counterpart (well technically you can, but if you honestly believe that then I'm going to have to discount your credibility in the world of aesthetics).

REALLY like the mini-map. Chinchilla? The skin and layout are in it by default?

Agreed, gray and black seem to be as aesthetic to him.

ooh it's nice, one thing that bugs me though, is there any way to make the Latency part of your cast bar look like the status bar? rounded corners with that border, etc? I have never used ACB but I know Quartz can do that. It's just a real nice bubbly border and status bar look you have going on. Also another thing I would do is make that dominos experience bar have the same bubbly effect. Though to do that you would have to make a new texture, because if you used that same texture it would go all strechy.

There's nothing wrong with gray and black in a UI. Some people actually prefer darker colors rather than obnoxiously vivid class colors.
