violenceLevel Console Command

Does anyone know which direction violenceLevel 0-5 goes? Is 0 no violence and 5 the most violence or visa versa?

Why? It's not like the number of red pixels that appear onscreen will alter the fact that you're hitting each other with sharp pieces of metal.

What does that comment have to do with his question?

your statement would be true for every single game in existence, except that many games have a violence level that can be changed.

My guess is that the violence level is meant to be used in different versions of the game. Some countries do not allow red blood in games, and as a result most game developers have a means of removing, changing the color of, or scaling back the amount of violence or gore that is shown within the game.

No proof one way or the other, but I am guessing without any fact that this setting may be for that purpose...

0 = No effects
1 = Green Blood effects and display of combat effects.
2 - 5 = More pronounced combat and blood effects progressively from lower to higher numerals (the change is minimal from level to level, either 1 or 2 is sufficient for the effects display).

either Gello's method or /console violenceLevel 5 will work. Remember, since the 1.6 patch you must reload the Ui for these commands to take effect.

To enable the console add -console at the end of the target field of your WoW shortcut icon with a space between wow.exe and -console (drive:/.../WoW/WoW.exe -console).

i dunno what to tell you. If you have the right path it should work fine. At any rate you don't need to enable the console UI to run /console commands, you just can't list and browse them.
